Dick and Delores Finch of Jefferson have pledged $100,000 toward the construction of the proposed Iowa Central Regional Career Academy.
In a letter dated Feb. 12 and sent to the Greene County Schools, the county supervisors, the city of Jefferson, Sid Jones, GreeneCountyNewsOnline and the citizens of Greene County, Dick Finch writes, “This is a most important project for the future of Greene County and its residents. We feel very strong about education and especially at the local level for vocational training.”
The Finches will pay the pledge annually or upon the completion of construction of the regional academy, at their option.
“The only request we have is to be on or in the building recognizing Chris Deal for his insight for this project,” their letter concludes.
